ConvoPilot DocuChat is an AI knowledge base for quality management and document control in manufacturing. It answers questions about procedures, work instructions and inspection plans, names the valid revision, compares versions and plants, and backs every answer with the document, version and exact location. It runs on the customer's own infrastructure and applies access rights already at search time.

And the next hurdle often comes from IT: cloud AI on quality documents that anyone who ever had access can read? That is exactly what you do not want.
Ask in plain language: "Who owns VA-08-01?", "Which documents are due for review?", "What applies in plant 2?" The answer names document number, version, validity, location and the exact place in the document. Superseded versions are told apart from valid ones.
"What changed between 4.1 and 4.2?" "Compare the procedure across all plants." The system reads the documents in full, even in large collections, and summarizes differences with source references. Also between the German and the English version.
Load a customer requirement, an audit report or a draft into the chat. The system checks it against your knowledge base without indexing it. If it finds no matching internal rule, it says exactly that ("no internal rule found") instead of making something up.
Also: text recognition for scanned PDFs and images, process diagrams directly in the chat, folders and tags, filters by document number, version, validity and location.

Extend to further areas or switch it off. If you switch it off, we delete the data and document it, and you keep the permissions report.

Permissions are applied at search time, not only when results are displayed. Anyone who may not read a document gets neither hits nor citations from it. Rights for users, groups and folders, with inheritance.
Container deployment on your infrastructure or in your EU environment. With local models for answers, embeddings and reranking, no document text leaves your boundary. Models from external providers are optional and selectable per organization.
Answers contain citations with their exact location. They are preserved even if a document is deleted or reprocessed later.

Every answer names the source, version and exact location, so you can verify it. Where no internal rule exists, the system says so instead of guessing. We test answer quality with our own evaluation suite, including against invented rules. We do not guarantee error-free answers: the controlled document remains authoritative.
